MG Service History Check

Ask an MG dealer to print it. MG says dealers register a completed service on a national database, so another MG dealer can look the car up. It is a dealer record, not a public search box. A registration check on this page does not log into that database.

Not from a public MG website. The Digital Service Record is read and printed by an MG dealer. Work done outside the MG network is not added automatically. The published service schedule also changes by model and year, so ask the dealer which schedule applies to the car rather than using one interval for every MG.

Ask an MG dealer for a printout of the Digital Service Record, and ask the seller for invoices from any other garage. A service that was never registered will not be on that database. The invoice is the evidence for work done outside the MG network. A blank printout does not prove the car was never serviced.

Ask that garage for the invoice. MG says dealers register a completed service on the Digital Service Record, and work outside the network is not added automatically. A dealer can print what was registered. Ask which schedule applied to that model year, because MG does not publish one interval for every MG.

Yes. This UK page uses the registration and does not search by VIN. An MG dealer may still want the VIN from the V5C or the windscreen if the plate has changed. A private plate does not start a new service record. The registration check is not the manufacturer’s own login.

VehicleScore cannot guarantee a complete service history for an MG. When a data provider has supplied them, a report can show service dates, mileage, the provider and a short description of the work. A report with no service records does not prove the vehicle was never serviced. Model guides: MG4 and the ZS.
